Flora Louise Mooney

Flora Louise Mooney of Caraway, departed this life Thursday, Aug. 28, 2014, at the St. Bernard's Medical Center in Jonesboro, at the age of 89. She was born March 11, 1925 in Center, Miss., the daughter of Joseph Raymond Kelley and Eva Mae Ballard Kelley. She was a member of the Caraway Baptist Church and worked for the Caraway Drug Company for 15 years. She enjoyed her flowers and was given the yard of the month honors on several occasions. She was a great cook, a good loving mother and was very fun to be around.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bryan V. Mooney, one son, Bryan Mooney, Jr., one grandson, James Bryan Moyer, and several brothers and sisters.

She is survived by one daughter, Mae Dell Workman (David) of Como, Miss.; three sons, James Mooney (Vicky) of Jonesboro, Terry Mooney (Lucinda) of Euless, Texas, S. Barry Mooney (Ellen) of Colorado; one brother, Clyde Ray Kelley of West Memphis; 11 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 2, at the Gregg Funeral Home Chapel in Monette with Rev. Rick Stevens officiating. Interment will follow in Nettleton Cemetery under the direction of Gregg Funeral Home of Monette.

Friends may visit at the funeral home from noon until service time Tuesday.
