Jonesboro -- Robert "Eddie" Edward Rolland, 61, passed away Monday, Aug. 25, 2014, at St. Bernards Medical Center. He was born July 12, 1953, in Flint, Mich. Eddie served his country proudly in the United States Air Force. He was an auctioneer for Leele's Market and loved everybody and never met a stranger. He will be remembered as a loving husband, son, father and grandfather.

He is survived by his wife, Teresa Rolland; mother, Lora Cole of Jonesboro; children, Robbie Eugene Cole of Jonesboro, Donald James Rolland (Amanda) of Paragould, Michael Anthony Rolland (Brandy Wilson) of Jonesboro, Daniel Ray Rolland (Sara Langston) of Jonesboro, Ashley Rolland Arnold (Steven) of Trumann and Felicia Rolland Perdue (Jesse) of Jonesboro; two sisters, Donna Wood (Perry) of Monette and Penny Faulkner (Chris) of Dyersburg, Tenn.; and 31 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father, Robert "Bob" Rolland; stepfather, Don Cole; nephew, Dusty Wood; and stepmother, Mary Robertson Rolland.

A celebration of his life will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 27, at Gregg Funeral Home Chapel in Monette with Rev. Jerry Reed officiating. Burial will follow at Monette Memorial Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 26, at Gregg Funeral Home in Monette.

Honored to serve as pallbearers are Donald Rolland, Mickaul Rolland, Daniel Rolland, John Dickson, Joe Wood, Steven Meine, Chris Dhane and Robert Cole and as honorary Joe Meshack and William Hadl.
