Dorothy Lee Lambert

Dorothy Lee Lambert, 87, of Manila, the widow of Mr. Charles Lambert, died Friday July 11, 2014, at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro.

Born in the Cold Water community in Mississippi County, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Cora Lee Patterson and had been a Manila resident the past 55 years. She was retired from American Greetings in Osceola and was a longtime member of Westside Baptist Church in Manila.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one son, John William Lambert; one grandson, Gary Randel Tyler; three brothers; and one sister.

Survivors include:

Two sons, Joe Donald Lambert and Ed Lambert, both of Manila;

Three daughters, Carolyn Sue Holt and Barbara York, both of Manila, and Charlette Barnett of Cordova, Tenn.;

One brother, Clyde Patterson of Rochelle, Ill.;

One sister, Bessie Holt of Rochelle, Ill.: and

Eleven grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and a special grandson, Ty Allen Tyler.

Funeral service was set for 11 a.m. Monday at the Howard Funeral Service Chapel in Manila. Burial was to follow in the Manila Cemetery.

The family will receive visitors from 10 a.m. until service time Monday.
