James Bryant Shaw, Jr., 48, of Blytheville, passed away Thursday, July 10, 2014.

He was born March 17, 1966, in Osceola, to James Bryant Shaw Sr. and Joyce Austin Cotton. He was preceded in death by his father, grandparents Delbert and Veron Shaw, and grandparents Buford and Zula Austin.

A member of First Christian Church in Blytheville, Shaw went to work at Blytheville Winnelson in 1983 at the age of 17, worked there for the remainder of his life, and was promoted to president of the company in 2008. He enjoyed hunting, bluegrass music, trapshooting and spending time with his family.

He is survived by his wife, Karla Graves Shaw;

Three daughters, Kathryn Buckley Provence and husband Wesley Van of Jonesboro, Jamie Claire Shaw and Ali Nicole Shaw of the home;

His mother and stepfather, Larry Cotton of Blytheville;

His sister, Denise Dennis and her husband Dave and two nieces, Kelsey and Rebecca Dennis, all of Harrison;

His mother-in-law, Judith McKay Graves of Blytheville;

His brothers-in-law, Chris Graves and wife Lisa and nephew Nicholas, all of Jonesboro, and Gary Graves and nephew Garren of Fayetteville; and

Three loyal dogs, Heidi, Spencer and Sadie.

Shaw was a member of Sons of Confederate Veterans, a lifetime NRA member and a co-founder of Chickasaw Shooting Sports Association.

Visitation will be from 1-2:30 p.m., Saturday, July 12 at First Christian Church in Blytheville. Funeral services will begin at 2:30 p.m. following the visitation, with Dr. Tommy Carney, Dr. Keith Hearnsberger and Jory Neff officiating.
