David "Duck" Smith

David "Duck" Smith, 70, of Tyronza, died of heart failure on Wednesday, July 9, 2014, at his home.

Born Nov. 8, 1943 in Alabama, he was a diesel mechanic and a Baptist.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Oscar Sheldon and Dena Odell Foster Lambert, one daughter, one sister, and one brother, Bubbles Smith.

Mr. Smith leaves his wife, Audie Smith of Trumann;

Two stepdaughters, Sheila Lyke of Tyronza and Jessica Ross of Trumann;

One son, Ronnie Smith of Tyronza;

One stepson, Tony Watkins of Johnson City;

Two sisters, Mary Carr of Eades and Sharon Sampson of Collierville;

One brother, Phillip Smith of Memphis;

Thirteen grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

The family will receive visitors from 9-10 a.m. Saturday, July 13, at Wilson Funeral Home of Tyronza. Funeral services will begin at 10 a.m., immediately following visitation. Burial will follow at Tyronza Cemetery.
