Robert Lee Myers

Robert Lee Myers, 74 of Gillsville, Ga., passed away on July 5, 2014, at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following an extended illness.

Mr. Myers was born on April 23, 1940, in Dyess, to the late Harry Myers Sr. and Gladys Dunlap Myers. He was a retired general contractor and attended Lakewood Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Loren Myers and Richard Myers; and sister, Viola Boswell.

Mr. Myers is survived by his wife, Nancy Myers of Gillsville;

His daughters and sons-in-law, Kathy (Cindy) and Tim Taylor of Dexter, Mo., and Pam and Rick Tucker of Gainesville, Ga.;

His sons and daughters-in-law, Mark and Jinny Myers of Greenville, Tenn., and Jason and Kim Myers of Demorest, Ga.;

His grandchildren, Dustin Treadwell, Emily Treadwell Boyle, Mary Kathryn Saliba, Layne Saliba, Chloe Myers and Tatum Myers;

His sisters, Clara Moody, Iola Smith, Faye Hill, Norma Hicks; and

His brothers; Harry Myers Jr., and Ronnie Myers.

Funeral Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with entombment to follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery. Dr. Jerry Gill and Dr. Tom Smiley will officiate.

The family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to your favorite charity, the Alzheimer's Foundation or Lakewood Youth Ministries.
