Mallissa Lee Sutton

Mrs. Mallissa Lee Sutton, 92, of Blytheville, died Wednesday at Great River Medical Center in Blytheville. Born Aug. 4, 1921, to the late John Donald and Blanchie Wise Chapman, she was a homemaker and a member of Nehemiah Temple COGIC.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Tom Sutton; five sisters, Mae Etta Donald, Georgia Donald, Mae Willie Donald and Ruby Brown; and eight brothers, John Donald, Willie B. Donald, Eugene Donald, Percy Chapman, Martin Donald, Johnson Donald and Clifford Donald.

Mrs. Sutton leaves four daughters, Blanchie Sutton, Ethel (and Jesse) Adams, Anna (and Charles) Echols and Betty (and Michael) Chew, all of Blytheville;

Two sons, Leroy (and Corine) Sutton and Tom (and Tonya) Sutton of Blytheville;

One sister, Anna Ruth Grisby of Chicago;

Two brothers, Porter Gaden Donald and Thomas Chapman of Blytheville; and

Twenty-eight grandchildren, 110 great-grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Nehemiah Temple COGIC with David Corns officiating. Burial will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery. The family will receive visitors from 5-7 p.m. Friday at Wilson Funeral Home.
