Christine Flanigan York

Christine Flanigan York, 86, of Parsons, Tenn., formerly of Blytheville, died Sunday, June 1, 2014, at Decatur County General Hospital in Parsons. Born Sept. 8, 1927, in Blytheville, she was retired from First National Bank and Southern Bancorp, and a member of Trinity Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, James Flanigan and Mollie Holder Flanigan; and her husband, Ned York Jr.

Mrs. York leaves six nieces, Susan Sturgeon, Margie Hill, and Patricia Daubman of Tennessee, and Mary Middleton, Ginger Coleman and Anita Thompson of Arkansas; and

Five nephews, Grady Allen Flanigan of Texas, Jerry Flanigan of Utah, Terry Flanigan of New Mexico, Jamie Flanigan of Tennessee, and James Flanigan of Missouri.

The family will receive visitors from 6-8 p.m. today at Wilson Funeral Home in Blytheville. Funeral services, officiated by Bro. Mike Welch, will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, June 4, 2014, at Trinity Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery.
