Dorothy Annette Beach

Dorothy Annette Beach, 74, widow of Mr. Charles "Buck" Beach and longtime Leachville resident, passed from this life Monday, May 19, 2014, at the Arkansas Methodist Medical Center in Paragould.

Born in Harrison, Ark., to the late Frank and Erma Lee Hammons Edwards, she had been a Leachville resident since 1949 and was a 1957 graduate of Leachville High School. She was a retired secretary, having worked in the Leachville Public Schools, Buffalo Island Central Schools and Arkansas Northeastern College Leachville Campus. Mrs. Beach was a longtime member of the First United Methodist Church in Leachville.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a step-son, Bill Beach.

Survivors include:

One son and daughter-in-law, Brian and Rachel Beach of Jonesboro;

Two daughters, Debbie Imler and her husband, Randy, and Deanna Beach, all of Leachville;

One step-son, Barry Beach of Leachville;

Two step-daughters, Joan Simpkins of Milligan Ridge and Cherry Hicks of Leachville;

Two brothers, Donnie Edwards of Jacksonville, Fla., and Johnny Watkins of Paragould; and

Eight grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and many step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Howard Funeral Service Chapel in Leachville with the Rev. Doug Criss officiating. Burial will follow in Horner Cemetery in Hornersville, Mo.

The family will receive visitors from 6-8 Wednesday evening at the funeral home.
