Virginia Charlene Williams
Virginia Charlene "Chuckie" Williams, 67, of Manila passed from this life, Tuesday, May 13, 2014, at her home. Born in Bono, she was the daughter of the late Charlie and Neval Lora Hanes Adaire and had been a longtime Manila resident. She was very proud to have earned her GED as an adult and went on to work several years at American Greetings of Osceola. She had also worked at the Monette Manor Nursing Center and Manila Nursing Center and was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Charles Franklin Wells and John Ed Williams; a grandson, Gaston Harvey; two sisters, Lois Jean Greenway and Georgie Lavern Emmons.
She is survived by three sons, Charles Franklin Wells, Jr., Danny Wayne Wells and Eddie Joe Wells, all of Manila; a brother, Bobby Ray Adaire of Manila; a sister, Lavana Faye Hancock of Manila; 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren and many friends and extended family.
Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Friday, May 16, at the First Baptist Church in Manila with Paul Wayne Hicks officiating. The family will receive visitors from 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the First Baptist Church in Manila. Private disposition was under the direction of Howard Funeral Service of Manila.
