Mrs. Kattie Mae Sommer, 80, of Osceola, died Thursday, May 1, 2014, at Great River Medical Center in Blytheville. Born Dec. 25, 1933, to the late Emmett Williams and Mary Jane Williams, she was a homemaker and a member of Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church in Osceola.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by two sons, Robert Johnson and Leroy Johnson; two sisters, Frankie Mae Hill and Erma Lee Hawkins; and one brother, Vernell Williams.

Mrs. Sommer leaves three daughters, Mary Johnson and Carolyn Walters of Osceola, and Linda Bell Pinkins of Memphis;

Seven sons, Andrew Johnson, Willie Johnson, Monroe Johnson, Felix Johnson and Joe Johnson all of Osceola, and Melroy Johnson and John H. Johnson of Sioux City, Iowa;

One sister, Racheal Thompson of Osceola; and

A host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 10, 2014, at Bethlehem M.B. Church in Osceola with the Rev. M.L. Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Whiteside Cemetery in Osceola. The family will receive visitors from 5-7 p.m. Friday at Wilson Funeral Home in Osceola.
