Bobby D. Pate

Bobby Dale Pate, 67, of Leachville, died Wednesday, April 9, 2014, at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro. Born Feb. 2, 1947, in San Luis Obispo, Calif., he was the son of the late Bud and Hazel Sneed Pate and had lived most of his life in Leachville. He was a 1965 graduate of Leachville High School and was a U.S. Air Force veteran of the Vietnam War. He retired from the U.S. Air Force after 25 years of service and attaining the rank of master sergeant.

Survivors include his wife, Linda Gretencord Pate of the home; one son, Brian Pate of Manila; two daughters, Tina Avant of Samson, Ala., and Trisha Benham of Monette; two brothers, Eddie Pate of Monette and Bill Pate of Marion, Ill.; and seven grandchildren.

The family prefers any memorials be made to the Disabled American Veterans, 400 S. 18th Street #119, St. Louis, Mo. 63103 or any other veteran organization of the donor's choice. Final disposition will be private.
