Mr. Kerry L. Rainey, 64, of Blytheville, died Thursday, Jan. 23, 2014, at NEA Baptist in Jonesboro. Born July 8, 1949, to the late Annie Levern Rainey and Thomas Walter Rainey, he was a carpenter and a member of the Baptist faith.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by one son, Laroy Rainey.

Mr. Rainey leaves his wife, Benita Fay Wheat Rainey of Blytheville;

Three daughters, Lenore Rainey of Chicago and Kerrie Rainey and Romeshia Rainey of Milwaukee, Wis., and one step-daughter, Tracey Rainey of Chicago;

One son, Harold Rainey of Blytheville, and two step-sons, Larinzo Rainey and Lino Rainey both of Chicago;

Four sisters, Annie (and Tommy) Steenson, Leamonica (and Tommy) Watson Sr., both of Blytheville, Classie Rainey (and Winston Neely) of Sarasota, Fla., and Brenda (and Myron) Cohen of Chicago;

One brother, Thomas (and Barbara) Rainey of Chicago; and

Seventeen grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. today (Wednesday) at Wilson Funeral Home with Pastor Owen Watson officiating. Burial will follow at Gethsemane Gardens Cemetery. The family will receive visitors from noon-2 p.m. today (Wednesday) at Wilson Funeral Home in Blytheville.
