Fannie Mae Burks, 62, of Blytheville, died Thursday, Dec. 19, 2013, at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro.

Born Dec. 27, 1950, to the late Willie Albert Porter and Annie Bell Thomas Henderson, she was a retired school cook and a member of the Baptist faith.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by one sister, Pearlie Mae Forman.

Mrs. Burks leaves her husband, Eugene Burks of Blytheville;

Five sons, Zachary Burks of St. Louis, Zachary Otis Burks and Desmond Holliman of Blytheville, Emmanuel Burks of Orlando, Fla., and Demetrice Foreman of Jonesboro;

Four daughters, Evilian Haley, Virgie Burks, Vanessa Burks and Natalie Foreman, all of Blytheville;

Three sisters, Ora Robertson of Blytheville, Bobbie Cooper of Key Largo, Fla., and Emma Green of Little Rock;

One brother, Percy McCray of Sacramento, Calif.;

Thirty-one grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Wilson Funeral Home, with the Rev. Lero Nash officiating. Burial will follow at Sandy Ridge Cemetery. The family will receive visitors from 9-10 a.m. at Wilson Funeral Home.
