Grafter Anna Jacobs

Mrs. Grafter Anna Jacobs, 95, formerly of Osceola, died Monday, Dec. 23, 2013, in Memphis. Born July 9, 1918, she was a homemaker and a member of the COGIC faith.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Morris Jacobs; three daughters, Irene Jacobs, Dorothy Hollis and Theola Dunn; three sons, Robert Jacobs, Melvin Jacobs and Calvin Jacobs; four sisters, Theatris Ficklen, Flora Ficklen, Louella McCoy and Flossie Corn; and one brother, Cleveland Ficklen.

Mrs. Jacobs leaves seven daughters, Ollie Mae Jacobs, Shirley Harris, Melody Murray and Minnie (Gary) Cothran all of Osceola, Grafter Jacobs of Detroit, Mich., Doris (Willie) Martin of Warren, and Mary Louise (L.C.) Simmons of Memphis;

Two sons, Morris (Doris) Jacobs Jr. of Marion and Derrick (Judy) Dewayne Jacobs of Luxora;

One brother, Shelton Ficklen of Benton Harbor, Mich., and

Five grandchildren and a host of great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at New Mount Pleasant MB in Osceola, with Pastor James Womack officiating. Burial will follow at Whiteside Cemetery in Osceola. The family will receive visitors from 6-8 p.m. Friday at Wilson Funeral Home in Osceola.
