LaVerne Baker

Mrs. LaVerne Baker, 81, of Blytheville passed from this life Thursday, Nov. 28, 2013, at Gosnell Health Care in Gosnell.

Born in Dell to James Calvin and Ella Mae Clayton Gallagher, she was a homemaker who loved working in her yard, taking care of her house and loved taking care of her husband and children.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Tommy Baker; and a brother, Shannon Gallagher.

Mrs. Baker is survived by her children, Joel (and Kathy) Baker of Gosnell, Jerry Baker and Karen Chandler, both of Blytheville;

Her grandchildren, Heather (and Nick) Ruth of Paragould and Bryan Chandler and Brianne (and Justin) Bramme, both of Blytheville; and

One great-grandchild, Cameron Ruth.

Graveside services will held at 1 p.m. Monday in Elmwood Cemetery with the Rev. Richard Lourcey officiating. There will be no visitation.
