Jekita Ann Davenport Zolman

After nine courageous years of battling ovarian cancer, Jekita Ann Davenport Zolman of Arbyrd, Mo., passed away Nov. 21, 2013, at the age of 65.

Jekita was born March 20, 1948, in Leachville, Ark., to Martin and LaVerne Pruett Davenport. She was married to Lyman Ray Zolman on Jan. 15, 1971. She was employed by the Natural Gas Company for more than 42 years, and a member of the Senath First Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband, Lyman Zolman; parents, Martin and LaVerne Davenport of Arbyrd; two daughters, Stephanie Law and husband, David, of Arab, Ala., and Jessica Smith and husband, Aaron of Arbyrd; a sister, Alesa Lea and a niece, Devon Wheeler, both of Jonesboro, Ark.; step-children, Ritchard Zolman and wife, Kathy of Arbyrd, Sherry McClelland and husband, Dale of Cardwell, Mo.; eight grandchildren, Megan and Jordan Zolman of Arbyrd; Nathan, Ryan, and Landon Law of Arab, Ala.; Chase and Katie McClelland of Cardwell, Mo., and Ethan Smith of Arbyrd, Mo.; many other relatives and a host of friends.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 23, at the McDaniel Funeral Home in Senath.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 24, at the Senath First Baptist Church. Burial will be at LuLu Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Randy, Patrick, and Adam Lenderman; Johnny and Zachary Zolman; Christopher and Justin Butler; and Paul Shearer.

Honorary pallbearers will be Lester Forbes, Roger Duty, Howard Hill, Bob Nichols, Danny Tucker, Keith Guthrie, Bo Lea, and Rick Haywood.
