Mrs. Della Juanita Deen, 83, of Blytheville, passed from this life Tuesday, Oct. 22, 2013, at St. Bernard's Medical Center in Jonesboro.

Born in Dermott to Gus Valentine and Mattie Leliah Chancellar Eberdt, she retired from Blytheville Federal Savings and Loan and was a member of 13th and Main St. Church of Christ. Della was a member of Cotton Belles Extension Homemakers Club. She loved to be with her family and she loved to sing. She enjoyed attending church and singing Praises to God with the other members of the congregation led by Bruce Daniels or Mike Parrish.

She was a great wife, mother and loving grandmother to 18 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Faith Schmidt Williams; a sister, Betty McDonal; and a daughter-in-law, Kathy Emery Schmidt.

Della is survived by her husband, of 42½ years, Travis Deen of the home;

Her loving sons, Gus Lynn Schmidt Sr. and Thomas Schmidt and wife, Kim, all of Jackson, Mo., and Patrick J. Schmidt and wife, Leslie. of Reno, Nev.;

A sister, Ethel Mae Van Cleve of West Memphis;

Her son-in-law, Ronald Williams of Jonesboro;

A sister-in-law, Joyce Deen of Marion; and

Her loving step-sons, Wayne Deen and wife, Gail, of Ballwin, Mo., and Gary Deen of Blytheville.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in Cobb Funeral Home Chapel with Mr. Duane Cooper and Mr. Greg Groves officiating. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until service time. In lieu of flowers, the family requests any memorials be made to the American Cancer Society.
