Mr. Dale Jackson, 61, of Manila, died Saturday, Sept. 14, 2013, at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro. Born in Manila, he was the son of the late Robert and Lucy Reed Jackson and had lived most of his life in Manila. He was the former owner of the Manila Exxon Station and the Cherry Tree Convenience Store in Blytheville. He was a 1971 graduate of Manila High School and later attended Arkansas Northeastern College in Blytheville.

Mr. Jackson served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Lloyd Jackson, Roy Jackson, and Carl Jackson; and one sister, Jean Rodgers.

He is survived by his son, Coy Jackson of Manila;

His daughter, Lindsey Jackson of Manila;

Three brothers, Dan Jackson of Mt. View, Jim Jackson of Mishawaka, Ind., and Bo Jackson of Leachville; and

Three sisters, Sue Bradford and her husband, Jay, of Manila, Sharon Hughes and her husband, Denny, of Oakdale, Ill., and Brenda Chipman of Lake City.

Funeral services will be held at 11a.m. Wednesday at the First Assembly of God in Manila with the Rev. James Chipman officiating. Burial will follow in Manila Cemetery under the direction of Howard Funeral Service of Manila. Pallbearers will be John Jackson, James Jackson, Joseph Jackson, Joshua Jackson, Jordan Jackson and Robert Chipman.
