Dale Jackson, age 61 of Manila, died Saturday, Sept. 14, 2013, at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro. Born at Manila, he was the son of the late Robert and Lucy Reed Jackson and had lived most of his life in Manila. He was the former owner of the Manila Exxon Station and the Cherry Tree Convenience Store in Blytheville. He was a 1971 graduate of Manila High School and later attended Arkansas Northeastern College in Blytheville. Mr. Jackson served his country in the U. S. Army during the Vietnam War.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 3 brothers; Lloyd Jackson, Roy Jackson, and Carl Jackson, and 1 sister, Jean Rodgers.

He is survived by His son, Coy Jackson of Manila; a his daughter, Lindsey Jackson of Manila; 3 Brothers, Dan Jackson of Mt. View, Ark., Jim Jackson and his wife Melanie of Mishawaka, Ind., and Bo Jackson and his wife Becky of Leachville; 3 sisters, Sue Bradford and her husband, Jay of Manila, Sharon Hughes and her husband Denny of Oakdale, Ill., and Brenda Chipman of Lake City, Ark.

Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 18, at the First Assembly of God in Manila with Rev. James Chipman officiating. Burial will follow in Manila Cemetery under the direction of Howard Funeral Service of Manila.

Pallbearers will be John Jackson, James Jackson, Joseph Jackson, Joshua Jackson, Jordan Jackson, and Robert Chipman.
