Charles Lewis Weatherford

Mr. Charles Lewis Weatherford, 74, of Blytheville, went to be with the Lord and Savior Wednesday, Aug. 21, 2013. Mr. Weatherford died at St. Bernard's Medical Center in Jonesboro. He was born Aug. 30, 1938, in Tunica Miss. His parents were Carter (Ceilco) Lewis Weatherford and Gracie Lorene Lang Weatherford Hughes. Mr. Weatherford was a resident of Blytheville for most of his life. He was a retired Vietnam U.S. Navy Veteran. After 20 years of service, he retired with the rank of Chief Warrant Officer 2. He was of the Baptist faith.

Mr. Weatherford was preceded in death by both of his parents; four brothers, Bill Weatherford, Wayne Weatherford, Jimmy Weatherford and Bobby Weatherford; his son, Charles Glenn Weatherford; and a step-son. Jessie Ware.

He is survived by his young wife of 42 days, Alice Bonnie Ware Weatherford of the home;

Four daughters, Jamé Lorene (and Mike) Pearce of Blytheville, Debora Lynn (and Kenneth) Bagby of Harrison, Angela Jean (and Tony) Self, also of Harrison, and Charlene Broy of Pomona, Calif.;

Two sisters, Mary McElreath of Exeter, R.I., and Elizabeth (Betty) Justelien of Iowa, La.;

Seven grandchildren, Danny Glenn Cosbey of Branson, Mo., Rodney Michael (and Jennifer) Pearce of Blytheville, Joshua Adam (and Autumn) Pearce of Holland, M0., Kenneth Wayne Bagby Jr. of Lake of the Ozarks, Mo., Tony Darron Self Jr. of Harrison, Amanda Jean Pearce of Blytheville, and Naomi Jean Self of Panama City, Fla.;

Numerous great-grandchildren;

Three step-children, Terry Ware, John Roberts and Ava Ware; and

Ten step-grandchildren.

Services have already been held for Mr. Weatherford, and he has already been laid to rest.
