Senior care wins praise from local family

To the editor:

I cannot deny we have some negative things that happen too much in our area. However, the good and positive things we do seem at times to be left without any attention. I want to give a positive professional praise to our senior care units and staff.

Our family is very appreciative of the senior care units we have in our area. Gosnell Health Care is where we had our latest experience. The other units have shown very good and kind professional care also on our many visits we had there with our friends before our mom needed this kind of care.

During the care of our mom at Gosnell Health Care recently, the staff bonded with our whole family. The words grateful and loving are inadequate. They became our nurses and friends also. Truly their outstanding care enabled us to make this very difficult transition while they cared for our mom. This is the only way we can truly thank you and our community. To raise your banner of love and personal care for us and the other patients whom we grew to know and to love during our months of mom's last days on earth. The staff provided comfort and encouragement during our long night vigils.

They did much more than just say we care, they did it so well and very faithfully. Some of the nurses came in on their days off and visited and encouraged us. We knew right away they would and could provide the best care for mom and that we were welcome guests to be able to be with our mom whole she lived there. Compassion filled the air and our hearts and was given to our mom in large quantities.

They were cheerful and helped us to rise to feelings of peace and even laughter. We encourage the staff there and in the other senior care units in Blytheville/Gosnell. We proudly commend these staff members and their best of care and best of helping us through a very difficult time. They do this with so many. They stand prepared to serve others just as well. God bless them and out seniors.
