James Rodney Jones, Sr.

James Rodney Jones, Sr., 58, of Erin, Tenn., formerly of Osceola, died Sunday July 14, 2013, at the Gateway Medical Center in Clarksville, Tenn. Born in Forrest City, he was the son of the late Clifford Arnold and Willie Pearline Hollis Jones. He was a 1973 graduate of Forrest City High School and he served in the U.S. Air Force as a jet mechanic. In 2005 he retired from Viscase in Osceola and was currently employed by the Tennessee Valley Authority in Cumberland City, Tenn., and was a member of Truth Tabernacle in Erin.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his first wife, Deleah Jones, in 2003.

He is survived by his wife, Pat Jones of the home; his son, James Rodney Jones, Jr. and his wife Kara of Osceola; two grandsons, John Ross and Nathan Scott Jones, and two granddaughters, Rebekah LeahAnn and Lydia Denise Jones.

Graveside services will be held at 4 p.m. Thursday, July 18, at the Dogwood Cemetery in Blytheville with the Rev. Scott Trayler officiating. The family will receive visitors Thursday from noon until 3 p.m. at the Howard Funeral Service Chapel in Manila.
