Friday, June 28, 2013

Mr. Mark Allen Courtright, 55, was called home to be with his Lord Wednesday, June 26, 2013, at Baptist East Hospital in Memphis.

Mark was a devoted Christian and member of North Tenth St. Baptist Church. He was born in Fairfield, Ill., and relocated to Blytheville where he married Deborah Smith Aug. 11, 1988. The two combined each of their two children, had a fifth, and molded them into a unique and amazing family.

Mark gave 23 years of service to Nucor-Yamato, loved his St. Louis Cardinals and his Harley motorcycle. You may have even seen him riding around town last Wednesday. However, Mark should be remembered for his greatest accomplishment, which was crafting a wonderful life for everyone he loved. Mark could not have been a more dedicated and selfless husband and father.

Mark was preceded in death by his sister, Lynda Courtright; and a nephew, Nathan Courtright.

He is survived by his wife, Deborah Lynn Smith Courtright;

His daughters, Angel Whitehead and husband, Len, and Bridget Courtright-Avery;

His sons, Justin Pay and wife, Christina, and Joey Courtright, all of Blytheville, and Dustin Courtright and wife, Katie, of Little Rock;

Eight wonderful grandchildren;

His parents, J.B. and Ada Darlene Courtright, of Geff, Ill.;

A brother, Greg Courtright and wife, Pam, of Monticello, Ill.;

A niece, Sarah Courtright; and
