Camille Ramsey was born Zelda Camille Mangrum and was raised in Caraway, Ark., where her father and mother (Fred and Louie Mangrum) owned a café on Main Street for many years. She married Elvin Ramsey at a young age and raised their family in Manila, Ark., where she lived until moving reluctantly, due to illness, to Louisiana where her oldest daughter had made her home. She developed Parkinson's disease at approximately 60 years of age and fought the effects of it as long as she could. Always a free spirit, she lived her life after Elvin's early death to the fullest, grabbing as much from every ounce of life and freedom that she could until her body imprisoned the strong, independent woman that she was. She gave to her daughters and sons a sense of optimism, strength, and determinism that only she could. They will carry that with them as a gift from her forever and will pass it on to future generations. Rest in Peace Camille Ramsey.

A Memorial Service to be held at a future date (to be determined).
