Mrs. Bette Jo Ann Galloway, 82, of Paragould, formerly of Blytheville, passed from this life Tuesday, May 28, 2013, at Arkansas Methodist Medical Center in Paragould.

Born in Manila to Marion Loyd and Edith Esther McWilliams Dyer, she was a homemaker and was of the Baptist faith.

Bette was a graduate of Armorel High School, she enjoyed crocheting and embroidery and was an amateur ham radio operator. She had extra class license with the FCC. She and her husband enjoyed their rose garden and the 50 rose bushes it contained.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her infant twin sisters, Marion and Marilyn Dyer; a sister Linda Caldwell Killebrew; and a brother, Jerry Dyer.

Bette is survived by her husband, Tharold O. Galloway, of the home and with whom she would have celebrated their 63rd wedding anniversary on June 2;

Two sons, Tharold O. Galloway Jr. and wife, Shirley Mandler, of Prince Fredrick, Md., and Jerry Michael Galloway and wife, Melody, of Orlando, Fla.; and

Three sisters, Mary Katherine O'Neal and husband, Bobby, of Blytheville, Frances Dyer of Jonesboro and Sharon Webb and husband, Ronnie, of Paragould.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday in Cobb Funeral Home Chapel with Mr. Billy Holifield and the Rev. Greg Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:30 a.m. until service time. An online register may be signed at cobbfuneralhome.com
