Mr. Oscar Lee Palmer, 83, of Blytheville, died Saturday, May 18, 2013, at Great River Medical Center in Blytheville. Born July 28, 1929, in Raven, La., to the late Charlie Palmer and Viola Bennett Palmer, he was a retired AP&L Entergy Co. worker and a member of the Baptist Faith.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Stephon Palmer; one daughter Stephanie Palmer; two sisters, Ola Mae Mitchell and Dorothy Palmer Blackburn; one brother, Charlie Palmer; and one grandson, Antwain "Meechie" Palmer.

Mr. Palmer leaves his wife, Charlene King Palmer of Blytheville;

Two daughters, Joyce Palmer Taylor and Bernice (and John) Palmer Williams, both of Blytheville;

Two sons, Eugene (and Cheryl) Palmer of Fairview Heights, Ill., and Adrian Palmer of Blytheville;

One brother, Willie B. Palmer of Manila; and

Fifteen grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at New Immanual MB Church with the Rev. Burton Furlow officiating. Burial will follow at Memory Gardens. The family will receive visitors from 5-7 p.m. Friday at Wilson Funeral Home.
