Hazel Lavon Wallace, 90, of Monette, passed away April 28, 2013. She was born October 11, 1922, to the late John William and Lillie Mae Hunter Cason. Hazel was a member of Walnut Street Baptist Church and was an active in the

Jonesboro Community Center and was employed by Wal-Mart for seventeen years.

She is also preceded in death by two brothers, Neal Cason and J. W. Cason and two sisters, Ruby Vaness and Willene Trammel.

Survivors include a daughter, Pat Brown and husband Gary of St. Charles, Mo.; two sons, Larry Wallace and wife Kaye of Monette and Scott Wallace and wife Dena of St. Mary's, Ohio; two sisters, Thelma Price of Monette and Dorothy Stull of Waterloo, Ill.; five grandchildren, Rhonda Ashley, Keith

Wallace, Kerrye Wallace, Michael Wallace and Katherine Wallace; four great-grandchildren, Ian Carapella, Nora Wallace, Calvin Wallace and Carter Wallace.

Funeral services will be noon Wednesday, May 1, 2013, at Gregg Funeral Home in Monette with Rev. Jerry Reed officiating. Interment will follow in Monette Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral

home on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until service time.
