Jane Selby

Jane Selby, 87 of Leachville, widow of Floyd "Pete" Selby, Jr., died Monday April 22, 2013 at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro. Born April 6, 1926, at Conway, Ark., she was the daughter of the late James Silas and Suda Marie Chamberlain Holt, was a 1944 graduate of Conway High School, and later graduated from the former Arkansas State Teachers College in Conway. She had been a Leachville resident since 1958, was retired from Buffalo Island Central Schools, and was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church in Leachville.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Terry Len and Terrie Laraye Selby of Jonesboro, and her granddaughter, Anne Marie Selby of Jonesboro.

Graveside funeral service will be 11 a.m. Thursday, April 25, at the Leachville Cemetery with Rev. David Price officiating. Burial will be under the direction of Howard Funeral Servce of Leachville. There will be no visitation. In lieu of flowers the family prefers memorials to the Arbor Day Foundation, 100 Arbor Ave, Nebraska City, NE 68410 or the NEA Humane Society at 6111 Highland Dr., Jonesboro, AR 72401.
