Charles E. Wigtion

Mr. Charles E. Wigtion, 68, of Winnebago, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 29, 2013, surrounded by his loving family. He was born Jan. 26, 1945 in Blytheville, to Eldridge and Annie Mae (Dhority) Wigtion.

He graduated from Dell High School and soon after went on to marry the love of his life, Verdia Simmons, July 31, 1965, in Rockford Ill.

Charles was an avid hunter and fisherman who also loved the game of bingo.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Joe, Monroe, and Darrell Wigtion.

Charles leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Verdia (Simmons) Wigtion;

His children, Jenny (and Stacy) Hancock and Bruce Wigtion;

Five grandchildren, Brianna Brauer, Megan Hegde, Brennan Brauer, Courtney Hancock and Jake Hancock; and

A sister, Donnie Dunkin.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Sunset Funeral Home, 8800 N. Alpine Rd, Machesney Park. Pastor Tim Spickler and Pastor Gary Turner will be officiating.
