Russell Morries Rhodes

Mr. Russell Morries Rhodes, 81, of Caraway, died early Friday, Feb. 1, 2013, at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro. Born in Poplar Ridge, he was the son of the late Clarence and Flora Thomas Rhodes, a lifelong Caraway area resident, and a retired farmer. Mr. Rhodes was an avid hunter, fisherman, and outdoorsman.

Survivors include his wife, Wanda Simpson Rhodes of the home;

Two sons, Larry Rhodes of Caraway and Mike Rhodes of Black Oak;

Three daughters, Deanna Rhodes, Flora Brewer and Rhonda Gipson, all of Caraway; and

Five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Memorial services will be held at 3 p.m. today at the New Hope Baptist Church near Caraway with the Rev. Heath Hawkins officiating.
