Ruby Ann Thrasher

Mrs. Ruby Ann Thrasher, 86, of Benton, died Friday, Jan. 25, 2013 in Benton. Born May 11, 1926, in Little Rock, she was a homemaker and a member of the Seventh Day Adventists of Benton.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jake L. Potts and Hattie Potts; her husband, Vernon Thrasher; her son, Roger Doan; her sister, Lois Ghere; and her brothers, Bob Potts, Johnny Potts and Clarence Potts.

Mrs. Thrasher leaves seven daughters, Marie Hohn of Keiser, Joann McBride of Lawrenceburg, Connie Knight of Little Rock, Faye Johnson of Waco, Texas, Rose Mary Evertt of Lawrenceburg, Peggy Owens of Joiner, and Felecia Thrasher of Lawrenceburg;

Four sons, Calvin Light of Fort Smith, DeHaven Light of Memphis, Darrell Thrasher of Las Vegas, Nev., and Scotty Thrasher of Mississippi;

Three sisters, Eva Rasdon, Mickey Rea, and Linda Potts, all of Little Rock;

Three brothers, William "Bull" Potts of Little Rock, Ray Potts of Scott, and Raymond Potts of Hensley; and

Thirty-one grandchildren, 58 great-grandchildren, and two-great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services, officiated by Bro. Daniel Light, will be held at 2 p.m.today at the Wilson Funeral Home in Osceola. Burial will follow at Mississippi County Memorial Gardens in Osceola.
