Sherry Jean Hardesty Mahan

Sherry Jean Hardesty Mahan, 63, of Paragould, passed from this life Wednesday, Jan. 16, 2013, at her home.

She was born in Blytheville to Paul and Ruby McDermott Hardesty, and retired from American Greeting Company where she worked in quality control. Sherry was a member of Eastside Church of Christ. She enjoyed watching hummingbirds. She was a loving mother and a totally devoted "Grammy" to her grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Guy Gene Hardesty; and sisters, Julia Ann Kegley and Geneva Roberta Reda.

Sherry is survived by her children, Krissy Riggs and husband, Kenneth, of Gosnell, and Jason Mahan and wife, Jennifer, of Paragould;

Her grandchildren, Kourtney Riggs, Alexis Riggs, Hunter Riggs, Henry Mahan and William Mahan; and

Two sisters, Betty Wade and husband, Jerry, of Jonesboro, and Carolyn Deichman of Blytheville.

Graveside services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in Elmwood Cemetery. There will be no visitation.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial be made to Arkansas Children's Hospital, #1 Children's Way, Little Rock, AR, 72202.
