Louise Ross Belknap

Mrs. Louise Ross Belknap, 97, of Monticello, formerly of Blytheville, passed from this life Sunday, Jan. 13, 2013, in Monticello.

Born in Chalybeate, Miss., to Walter and Lillian Ross, she was the eldest of six children. Louise lived in Blytheville from 1923 until March 1996, when she moved to Monticello.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband,

Raymond Belknap; a son, R.O. Belknap Jr.; her siblings and their spouses, Elbert (and Geraldine) Ross, Leroy (and Billie) Ross, Bernice (and Jimmy) Brown, Vadine (and Hubert) Baldridge and Lorene (and James) England; and a daughter-in-law, Darlene Belknap.

Louise is survived by her children, Charlie Belknap and wife, Pat, of Monticello, and Eugene Belknap of Wynne;

Thirteen grandchildren;

Two great-grandchildren; and

A host of nieces, nephews and friends.

Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in Elmwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends at 10 a.m. in Cobb Funeral Home. An online register may be signed at cobbfuneralhome.com
