Mrs. Helen Brown, 94, of Morrilton, passed from this life Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2013, at Brookridge Cove Nursing Home in Morrilton.

Born in Blytheville to Author and Annie Powell Ashbranner, she was retired from Osceola Shoe Factory and was a farmer's wife. Helen enjoyed quilting, gardening and canning her own vegetables. She was of the Church of Christ faith.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ray Brown;

A daughter, Annette Arenas;

Her sons, Ray Jean Brown and Kenneth Brown;

Two brothers, Charles Ashbranner and Glen Ashbranner;

Four sisters, Geneva Reece, Hazel Riggs, Betty Jean Ashbranner and Winnogene Ashbranner;

A daughter-in-law, Reny Arenas;

Her children, Danny Brown and his wife, Wanda, of Morrilton, and Carolyn Tramel and husband, Felton, of Jonesboro;

A brother, Cecil Ashbranner of St. Peters, Mo.;

Two sisters-in-law, Lois French and Tribble Brown, both of Gosnell; and

Eleven grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday Cobb Funeral Home Chapel with Mr. Felton Tramel officiating. Burial will follow Elmwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 9:30 until time for services. An online register may be signed at cobbfuneralhome.com
