Mary S. Seals Taylor

Mrs. Mary S. Seals Taylor, 82, of Selmer, Tenn., formerly of Blytheville, passed from this life Saturday, Dec. 22, 2012, at Hardin County Medical Center in Savannah, Tenn.

She was a native of Blytheville, born Jan. 24, 1930, to Russell and Cora Lee (Miller) Seals. She was of the Baptist faith.

In her early years, before making her home in Selmer, with her husband and children, she worked at the Kream Kastle, the Rustic Inn and Hickory Pit restaurants in Blytheville and attended school in the Blytheville School System. In the later years, she was a factory worker and after retirement, she became a wonderful caregiver for family members in their homes.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Raymond Tyler Taylor, whom she married March 14, 1949; and brother, Homer Lee Brown of Memphis.

Mrs. Taylor is survived by her children, David Ray Taylor and wife, Shirley, of Selmer, Jerry Lynn Taylor and wife, Patsy of Jackson, Tenn., Doris Ann Bryeans and husband, Roger, of Blytheville, and Terry Russell Taylor and wife, Mary, of Selmer. She also leaves seven wonderful grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.

Her interment was taken care of by Cobb Funeral Home with much care and kindness. The family will have a private memorial service at a later date.
