Mrs. Annie Margaret Hamilton, 78, of Blytheville, passed from this life Sunday, Dec. 9, 2012, at her home.

Born in Hightower to James Daniel (J.D.) and Annie Pearl Pitts Stout, she was a member of Cole Ridge Baptist Church for 38 years and retired from Dell School System where she was cafeteria manager. Since retirement she was a homemaker. Annie was a graduate of Burdette High School, was a past Sunday School teacher, served on various committees and was dedicated to her church, family and friends. She enjoyed cooking and gardening and loved spending time with her family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sons, Mark Hamilton and John "Peanut" Hamilton, and an infant son, Dana Hamilton.

Annie is survived by her husband of 59 years, Elgene Hamilton, of the home;

Two sons, David Hamilton and wife, Sylvia, of Jonesboro, and Terry Hamilton and wife, Angela, of Portageville, Mo.;

Three grandchildren, Jerry Bryeans and wife, Maria, Melissa Gardner and husband, James, and Jon Mark Hamilton and wife, Katie;

Four great-grandchildren, Landon Bryeans, Jaidon Bryeans, Mason Bryeans and Ryleigh Gardner;

A brother, James Stout and wife, Debbie, of Blytheville; and

A sister, Mary Ann Rutledge of Longview, Texas.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Cobb Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Larry Barnes officiating. Burial will follow in Dogwood Cemetery with Bro. Jim Walker officiating. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. today at Cobb Funeral Home.
