J.C. Young

Mr. J.C. Young, 78, of Joiner, died Monday, Nov. 19, 2012, at Methodist University Hospital in Memphis. Born March 30, 1934, in Clarkesdale, Ark., he was a bus driver and a member of Holy Temple Outreach Ministry in Earle.

His parents, William and Nellie Carter Young, preceded him in death, as did one son, Devon Young.

He leaves his wife, Annie Young of Joiner;

Four daughters, Deloris Andrew and Samantha Young of Jonesboro, and Wendy Clay and Connie Crawford of Marion;

Seven sons, Jerry, Stanley, Derrick, Larry and Keith Young, all of Little Rock, and Willie Young of Osceola and Willie Glaspie of Marion;

Five sisters, Magdelene Lofton of Philadelphia, Pa., Cloretta Young of Cincinatti, Ohio, Norma Leachmon and Inez Roper of Chicago, and Mary Etta Styles of Georgia;

One brother, Otis Young of Delaware; and

A host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m Friday at Wilson Funeral Home in Osceola with funeral services set for 10 a.m. Saturday at New Mt. Pleasant in Osceola with Wilson Funeral Home of Osceola in charge of arrangements. Burial will take place in Whiteside Cemetery in Osceola.
