Billy Gerald Foster, 81, passed away Friday, Nov. 16, 2012.

Mr. Foster was born on May 16, 1931, near Monette to the late Greshan and Alice Newton Foster. He was with the Lion's Club for twelve years, five years as President. Mr. Foster was also on the Ambulance Board, a volunteer for the Parade Committee. He enjoyed antique tractors and was a co-founder of the Bottomlands Tractor Club. Mr. Billy will always be remembered for his big heart and his willingness to help everyone.

He is survived by his children, Rene DeFries and husband Lynn, Jerry Foster and Rickey Lee Foster and wife Susan all of Caraway; two sisters, Virginia Hill of St. Louis and Alice Troutman of Jonesboro; three brothers, Junior Foster, Bobby Foster and wife Helen and Donnie Foster and wife Gloria all of Brookland; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; a very special friend, Jo Fletcher of Caraway and her children and their spouses, Gary and Jinnie Fletcher of Caraway and Diane and Buddy Jones of Lepanto and her two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews and friends.

He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Billie Sue Foster and a sister, Mary Ann Frost.

A graveside service in celebration of his life was held at 1 p.m., Monday, Nov. 19, 2012, at the Caraway Cemetery with Rev. Willis Don Hill officiating. Burial followed under the direction of Gregg Funeral Home of Caraway.

The family received friends Monday, Nov. 19, 2012, from 10:00 a.m. until noon at the Gregg Funeral Home in Caraway.

The family named the people of Caraway as honorary pallbearers, for all of the ones he touched with his life and the one that touched his.
