L.C. Hartsfield, Jr., 83, of Luxora entered into rest Thursday, Oct. 25, 2012 in Memphis. He was born Oct. 19, 1929 in Brighton, Tenn. to the late Lola Claudell Hartsfield, Sr. and Lillie Hall Hartsfield.

He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Betty Triplett Hartsfield; four sons, Tommy Hartsfield of Tevares, FL, Claude Hartsfield of Conway, L.C. Hartsfield III, of Blytheville and Kenneth Hartsfield of Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

One step son, Hugh Allen Turner of Huachuca, AZ;

One daughter, Lola Hartsfield Griffin of Mobile, Ala.;

Three step daughters, Cheryl Sells of Collierville, Cynthia Thrasher of Mountain Home and Marsha Johnston of Osceola and;

Twelve grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; four sisters, Joan Burnett of Dyersburg; Leona Reece of Halls, Tenn., Pearlie Schwartz of Senatobia, Miss. and Phyllis Climer of Halls, Tenn.; one brother, Aguster Hartsfield of Halls, Tenn.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Claudia Lloyd and Dorothy Miller; two brothers, William Hartsfield and James Edward Hartsfield.

Visitation will be held from 2:30-3:30 p.m., Monday, Oct. 29, 2012 at Roller-Swift Funeral Home with the funeral following at 3:30.
