Finley 'Pink' Perkins

Mr. Finley "Pink" Perkins, 95, of Blytheville passed from this life Wednesday, Oct. 10, 2012, at his home.

Born in Blytheville to William and Margaret Bishop Perkins, he was a member of Woodland Corner Baptist Church for over 50 years. Pink retired from farming at the age of 92. Church, family and work were the most important things in his life.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Ludie Mae Rogers Perkins; six brothers and five sisters.

He is survived by his daughters, Nancy Raspberry and Pat Reed and husband, Patrick, both of Blytheville;

Grandchildren Teena Igleheart and husband, Joe, Jay Raspberry and wife, Faye and Jason Penn, all of Blytheville and Steven Penn and wife, Tricia of Fayetteville;

Great-grandchildren Jessica Penn, Samantha Ward and husband, Kel, and Zachary Penn, all of Fayetteville;

A great-great-granddaughter, Eva Frances Ward of Fayetteville;

A sister, Doris Perkins of Blytheville; and

A brother, Gene Perkins of Oklahoma City, Okla.

Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday in Memorial Park Cemetery with the Rev. Mitchell King Sr. and the Rev. Mitchell King Jr. officiating. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m.-12:45 p.m. at Cobb Funeral Home. An online register may be signed at cobbfuneralhome.com
