Mrs. Annie Ruth Rose, 84, of Port St. Lucie, Fla., died Wednesday, Sept. 26, 2012, at Martin Memorial Medical Center in Stuart. She was born in Fulton. She was joined in holy matrimony to J.B. Hayes, now deceased. Later, she was joined in holy matrimony to Eddie M. Rose. She moved from Poplar Bluff to Cleveland and became a member of Central Christian Church, employed by the Cleveland School System. Later, she moved to Florida and became a member of St. Mark Missionary Baptist Church in Fort Pierce. She was the matriarch of seven children, six of whom survive.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Revish P. Peoples Sr. and Modella Wilson Peoples; her son, James Hayes; her brothers, Willie Ross Peoples, Revish Peoples Jr., and Arnold Lee Peoples; and her sister, Pearl Franklin.

Mrs. Rose leaves three daughters, Marlene (and James) Brewer and Angelas Rose of Cleveland, and Regina McGants of White City;

Three sons, J.B. (and Kathy) Hayes Jr. of Sikeston, and Alfred V. Peoples and Anthony Rose of Cleveland;

Two sisters, Carrye (and Robert) Kiner of St. Louis and Readie (and Esau) Kelly of Walthourville;

Two brothers, Lathie (and Juanita) Peoples and Willie Boyd (and Desiree) Peoples of Chicago;

Her daughter-in-law, Cetanya Hayes of Poplar Bluff; and

Fourteen grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

The family will receive visitors beginning at 10 a.m. Saturday at Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church on Garfield Street in Poplar Bluff. Funeral services will begin after visitation at 11 a.m. Dr. Quincy Keeble Sr., Pastor, Pastor Tommy Robinson, and Pastor Ronnie Webb will serve as eulogists. Burial will follow at Poplar Bluff Cemetery. Arrangements are by McDonald Horne Funeral Home of Blytheville.
