Larry DeWayne Newton, 50, of Leachville, died Wednesday at the Arkansas Methodist Medical Center in Paragould.

Born at Manila he was the son of the late Mary Sarrells Robinson and had been a lifelong area resident. He attended Manila High School and was formerly employed by Darling Store Fixtures in Paragould, Fruit of the Loom in Osceola and Robertson Brothers Furniture Store in Leachville.

Survivors include his wife, Deborah Maples Newton of the home;

Four sons, Robert Weatherly of Monette, Joshua Newton of Jonesboro, Clifton Newton of Leachville and Eric Smith of Leachville;

Two daughters, Kimberly Howard of Leachville and Kaylee Shipley of Marmaduke;

Three brothers, Darren Newton of Leachville, Wesley Newton of Manila and Tony Newton of Leachville;

Three sisters, Tammy Hogan of Marmaduke, Lona Morris of Manila and Leisa Nettles of Monette; and

Eight grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at the Howard Funeral Service Chapel in Leachville with the Rev. Lee Davis officiating. Burial will follow in Manila Cemetery.

The family will receive visitors from 6-8 p.m. today (Sunday) at the funeral home.
