Linda Sue Staggs Lester

Mrs. Linda Sue Staggs Lester, 62, of Manila, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 18, 2012, at St. Bernard's Medical Center in Jonesboro. Born in Manila, she was the daughter of the late Erbie Staggs and was a lifelong Manila resident. Mrs. Lester attended Manila public schools and was a member of Westside Baptist Church.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her infant sister, Wanda Gail Staggs.

Mrs. Lester is survived by her husband, Danny Lester of the home;

Her mother, Mrs. Billie Gean Staggs of Manila;

One brother, Erbie Eugene Staggs and wife, Cheryl ,of North Little Rock;

Two sisters, Christine Walker and husband, Gary, of Swea City, and Darline Dearen of Manila; and

Numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive visitors from 6-8 p.m. today at Howard Funeral Home in Manila. Visitation will also take place from 10 a.m. until funeral services begin at 2 p.m. Thursday at Westside Baptist Church in Manila. Services will be officiated by the Rev. Andy Andros, and burial will follow in Manila Cemetery under the direction of Howard Funeral Service.
