Mr. Willie Gene Washington Sr., 71, of Osceola, died Monday, Sept. 3, 2012, in Jonesboro. Born Nov. 13, 1940, to the late Willie and Luella Baker, he was a retired mechanic of the Baptist faith.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his first wife, Arbella Washington; his second wife Emma Mae Barbee Washington; and three brothers, Bobby Gene Baker, Tommy Gene Baker and John Eddie Baker.

Mr. Washington leaves two daughters, Barbara and Tyrone Baker of Chicago and Mary and Curtis Davenport of Osceola;

Three sons, Willie and Vickie Washington Jr. of Osceola, Bennie and Florene Washington of Joiner, and Tony Washington of Osceola;

Two sisters, Rose and Elmon Scurlock of Chicago and Louis Haynes of Osceola;

Four brothers, Luther Baker of Chicago, Robert and Nellie Baker of Blytheville, Virgil and Lea Baker of Osceola, and Melvin Baker of Osceola; and

Five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church in Osceola with Dr. Moses Black officiating. Burial will follow at Whiteside Cemetery in Osceola. The family will receive visitors from 6-8 p.m. today at Wilson Funeral Home in Osceola.
