Zell Vada Grooms

Mrs. Zell Vada Grooms, 92, of Leachville, passed from this life, Sunday Aug. 5, 2012, at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro. Born In Childress, she was the daughter of the late Robert Porter and Gracie Sipes Baldridge and had been a Leachville area resident for most of her life. She was the widow of Mr. Elman Grooms and was retired from Brown Shoe Company in Leachville. Mrs. Grooms was a longtime member of the Leachville Assembly of God and had served as a Sunday school teacher and pianist for many years.

Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Virginia Grooms of Paragould;

A daughter and son-in-law, Karen and LTC (Ret.) David Wallace of Leachville;

Three grandchildren, Jason Wallace, Kelly Wallace and Chris and Shawna Grooms;

Two great-grandchildren, Blaine and Brylee Grooms; and

A sister, Lucille Adams of Jonesboro.

Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Howard Funeral Service Chapel in Leachville with the Rev. Tom Newman officiating. Burial will follow in Leachville Cemetery. The family will receive visitors from 6-8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Harold Wayne Latting, Jerry Yates, Tommy Eldried, Tim Adams, Kenny Adams, Steve Baldridge and Bob Peel.
