Reader mad as heck over loose dogs

To the editor:

Why do people own pit bull dogs and let them run loose and attack people that are walking or riding a bicycle?

I was riding my bike from Walker Park and Kentucky Street when I was attacked by a pit bull. He almost bit my leg, but he didn't. Instead I almost hit a tree on somebody's property.

I am mad as heck.
