Floyd E. Williamson, 85, passed away Sunday, May 27, 2012 in Jonesboro. He was born June 20, 1926, in Bay to the late Laland "L.L." and Lucille Hogan Williamson and lived most of his life in Monette and Leachville. He served in the Army during World War II in the Philippines and Japan. He enjoyed working on automobiles and flying his plane. He retired from Aycock Pontiac in Jonesboro.

He was also preceded in death by his wife, Wilma McClain Williamson.

He is survived by a brother and his wife, Darrell and Elouise Williamson of Jonesboro; two nephews and their wives, Kirk and Bridget Williamson of Jonesboro and Kent and Kelley Williamson of Springdale.

Visitation was held from 11 a.m. until time of service, Thursday, May 31, at the Gregg Funeral Home in Monette. A celebration of his life followed at 1 p.m. with Rev. Jerry Reed officiating. Burial was in Monette Memorial cemetery.

Honored to serve as pallbearers were Kirk Williamson, Kent Williamson, Paul Williamson, Derek Williamson and Norman Wardlow.
