Pearlie Mae Sharkey

Mrs. Pearlie Mae Sharkey, 74, of Blytheville, died Wednesday, May 30, 2012, at The Med in Memphis. Born May 11, 1938, in Blytheville to the late John D. Williams Sr. and Ora Stevenson Williams, she was a retired school teacher and a member of FAITH Temple House of Prayer.

In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband, Joe Lee Sharkey Sr.; two daughters, Ester Jean Love and Mary Denise Sharkey; one son, Charles Sharkey; four sisters, Queen Esther Williams, Clara Williams McComb, Lucille Williams Jenkins and Rosie Lee Williams Hill; and three brothers, John D. Williams, Charles Williams and Joseph Melvin Williams.

Mrs. Sharkey leaves six daughters, Ruthie Johnson, Martha Mays, Deloris Bryant, Cristie Sharkey, Precious Sharkey and Pearlie Sharkey, all of Blytheville;

Nine sons, Willie Joe Love, Roscoe Edward Sharkey, Melvin Sharkey, Joe Lee Sharkey Jr., John D. Sharkey, Jerry Bernard Sharkey, Freddrick Sharkey and Billy Sharkey, all of Blytheville, and Earl Sharkey of Atlanta; and

Sixty-three grandchildren and a host of great- and great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Eternal Salvation Church with Bishop Robert Williams officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Gardens Cemetery. The family will receive visitors from noon-2 p.m. Saturday.
