Marcella White, 85, of Fort Smith, passed away on Friday, May 18, 2012, in a local hospital.

She was married to the Rev. J.T. White for 60 years plus; they were the perfect example of what marriage should look like. Marcella was a great mother, wife, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, great friend to all that knew her, but most of all, a great prayer warrior for the Lord. Her ministry started as a pastor's wife for 55 years, and continued on Prayer Chain for the Trinity Nazarene Church. Marcella was the queen of the telephone. She spent thousands of hours calling to check up on friends, family and church family. She was an encouraging voice to all who she talked to. Marcella will be missed by all that knew and loved her. Marcella loved her family and
friends unconditionally, loved to play dominos, a good laugh, her church and
her church family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, the Rev. J.T. White; a daughter, Mable Ann White; her brothers, the Rev. Paul Seymore and William Seymore; a sister, Grace Fowler; and a granddaughter, Brittany Moody.

She is survived by her son, Ron M. White of Garfield;

Two daughters, Rebecca Ross and Beverly Moody, both of Fort Smith;

Two sisters, Helen Roberts of Rogers and Bobbie Jean Ross of Duncan, Okla.;

Ten grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Fort Smith First Church of the Nazarene with the Rev. Jim Roberts and Pastor Chuck Lauver officiating. Burial will be at Woodlawn Memorial Park.

Pallbearers are Ron White Jr., Matt Hampton, Jeremy Cowan, Ryan Wheeler, Mel Yarbrough and Robert Gillooley.

Honorary pallbearers are Paul Sharp, Noel McBride, Mark Baker, Mike Taylor, Mark Hinton and Harold Langley.

The family will visit with friends from 2-4 p.m. Sunday at Ocker-Putman Funeral Home of Fort Smith.

Memorials may be made to Trinity Church of the Nazarene, 2401 Savannah, Fort Smith, AR 72901.
